Chief Kevin L. Riley

Chief Kevin L. Riley began his fire service career in 1980 as a fire explorer at age 16 with the Mt. Orab Fire Department, Incorporated. At age 18 he became a volunteer firefighter and remained in that role until 1988 when he was appointed President of the Corporation. While President he directed the business of the corporation which included financial planning, purchasing, budgeting and payroll. In 1995 Kevin became the youngest Chief in the history of the Mt. Orab Fire Department, Inc., and remained Chief until leaving the Department in December of 2001. 

Chief Riley has been with the District since
December 15, 2001. Chief Riley has 26 years of experience in the fire service with 13 of those as Chief. Kevin serves as an instructor for Scarlet Oaks Training Center, Southern Hills Career Center, and Southern State Community College; is the Treasurer of the Fire and EMS Chief’s Alliance of Clermont County; member of the Clermont County Terrorism Advisory Team; Board member for the Greater Cincinnati Hazardous Materials Team; member of the Clermont County Local Emergency Planning Committee; member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board; graduate of LEAD Clermont 2005; and holds a law enforcement commission with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Riley may be reached by telephone at 513-732-3876 or email kriley@cjfed.org
